Whether it’s the spouse struggling with alcoholism, the nephew addicted to opiates, a close friend that is destroying their life with pornography or your employee with a gambling problem, the pain of addiction is experienced by millions of individuals every day. As a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor and EAP provider, Bob has more than 20 years of experience in guiding individuals on their journey of recovery.  Bob has combined his knowledge as a couple and family therapist with his extensive experience in the substance abuse field to create a therapy environment to support both the individual and the family as they heal from the pain of addiction.

Bob provides therapy to individuals in the early stages of recovery as well as clients with long term recovery. Clients are viewed from the Stages of Change Model. This approach assists Bob to better understand and motivate the ambivalent individual who is unsure if he/she is ready to make changes and support with active engagement the client who has already begun making meaningful changes in their use of substances. A variety of referral resources from public and private organizations will be recommended to assist the individual and their families with their journey. Bob’s numerous experiences over the past two decades have afforded him the joy of watching the miracle of recovery occur and unfold in hundreds of families.

Relationship Challenges

All couples and families have issues which impact their joy and create relational conflict. Very often one individual within the couple or family is viewed as being the problem in the relationship.  Bob helps couples and families to change their individualistic view of the challenges and create a more systemic understanding.
